Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

ReviewRescue provides AI-powered Steam review management tools for game developers and publishers. The Service includes AI response draft generation, review analytics, sentiment analysis, review clustering, crisis detection, community insights, digest reports, and a free public review audit tool.

The Service does not post responses to Steam on your behalf. All AI-generated responses are drafts. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and manually submitting any response through Steam's own interface.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us immediately at quod@steamdevtools.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may invite team members to your organization. You are responsible for ensuring that each team member complies with these Terms.

4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Trials

The Service is offered on a paid subscription basis. Pricing and plan details are displayed on our pricing page at the time of purchase.

• Free trial: New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with no credit card required.
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You authorize recurring charges for the plan you select.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access until then.
• Refunds: We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of your first paid charge. After 30 days, no refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
• Price changes: We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service
• Use AI-generated responses to deliberately mislead players about the state of your game
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
• Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service by automated means beyond what the Service provides
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm other individuals
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.

6. Intellectual Property

Your content: AI-generated response drafts become your property once generated. You may use, edit, and publish them however you choose. You retain all rights to your game data and any content you create using the Service.

Our content: The Service itself, including its code, design, branding, documentation, and analytics methodologies, is the property of ReviewRescue and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service.

Third-party trademarks: Steam is a trademark of Valve Corporation. ReviewRescue is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate review response drafts and analytical insights. AI output may occasionally be inaccurate, inappropriate, or incomplete. You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before use. We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or suitability of any AI-generated output. Posting an AI-generated response on Steam is your decision and your responsibility.

8. Steam API Usage

The Service accesses publicly available review data through Steam's public API. We do not access private Steam account data. Availability and completeness of review data depends on Steam's API, which is outside our control. We are not responsible for delays, outages, or changes in Steam's API that may affect the Service.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your game data and review content at all times.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReviewRescue shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, lost profits, loss of data, or damage to reputation, regardless of whether we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ReviewRescue, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your posting of AI-generated or other content on Steam or any other platform; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or for any conduct we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service or its users.

Upon account closure or termination, your data remains accessible for 30 days so you can export it, after which it is permanently deleted. If your account is terminated for a Terms violation, we may delete your data immediately.

14. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first at quod@steamdevtools.com so we can attempt to resolve it informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by placing a prominent notice on the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the Service and close your account.

16. General

• If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
• Our failure to enforce a right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
• These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ReviewRescue regarding the Service.
• You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
